Make a Difference Volunteer

In partnership with VolunteerMatch

The Tulare County Library actively seeks volunteers who are interested in helping the community. Each year, approximately volunteers donate their skills and talents providing almost 10,000 hours of their time to the Tulare County Library and READ TO SUCEED Literacy Program.

The minimum age to volunteer is 14. Parents must sign forms for any volunteer under 18.

If you are interested in becoming a library volunteer, you must first fill out a volunteer application form. Click here or obtain a form from the circulation desk at the Main or any branch library. Complete the application form as accurately as possible and return it to the circulation desk.

As volunteer openings become available, you will be contacted for an interview. Applications are kept on file for 6 months. The Library reserves the right to approve all volunteers and volunteer activities. Orientation and training for all volunteer positions will be provided.

A variety of volunteer assignments are available. Volunteer duties vary from branch to branch. We will do our best to match your interests and talents with current needs. Expect a busy staff and sometimes unspoken, but always heartfelt thanks for your commitment to your community library.
