The Health and Human Services (HHSA) Partnership
One-on-one tutoring services for HHSA TulareWORKS participants.

Instruction focuses on basic functional skills needed to job readiness and social competency.

English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Conversation Circles
Want to improve your English, reading and speaking skills? Join our weekly online and in person conversations circles. Practice grammar and join the discussions in English.

Family Literacy Services
Workshops: We offer bilingual monthly workshops on various topics for our learners and their families to connect them with resources in our community.
​
Family Nights: We invite our learner families to join us every month to explore other ways to promote Family Literacy such as game nights. Participants and their families receive free books to help build their home libraries.

Volunteer to be a Tutor
Low literacy affects one in four people over the age of 15 years old. Increasing a person’s literacy skills benefits the individual, their family and the wider community. Become a volunteer tutor with the Tulare County Library Read to Succeed Literacy Program and help an individual’s literacy skills increase and grow together as a community.

Career Online High School
Tulare County Library is now offering full-ride scholarships for Career Online High School; a completely online, fully accredited high school for adults who were not able to finish or start traditional high school.

Earn your High School Diploma online for FREE through the library. This flexible program makes a great option for adults 19 and over who want to work at their own pace. One-on-one tutoring assistance is available at the literacy center.
