Each year volunteers donate their skills and talents providing almost 10,000 hours of their time to Tulare County Library and Literacy Program.

Want to volunteer?

Volunteers

  • Must be age 14 or older.

  • A parent's signature is required for anyone under 18.

  • Orientation and training will be provided.

  • The Library reserves the right to approve all volunteers and volunteer activities.

​​

A variety of volunteer assignments are available. Volunteer duties vary from branch to branch.

  • Shelving and Straightening Books

  • Cleaning and Mending Books

  • History Room Volunteer

  • Programming Volunteer

  • Summer Reading Program Volunteer

  • Special Projects

  • Fundraising

  • Teen Blogging

  • Teen Advisory Group

  • ​Homebound Program

Teen Volunteers

Teens who participate in the Teen Advisory Group (TAG) can earn community service hours and volunteer experience.
